About Loan Amortization Schedule
A fixed-rate loan repays a rising share of principal each period while the interest share falls, because interest is charged on what is still outstanding.
Every period is walked internally, then printed at the spacing you choose, so a 30-year loan still fits on the page.
Questions about Loan Amortization Schedule
Why does the interest part shrink?
Interest each month is balance times the monthly rate. The balance drops every month, so interest drops while the principal part of the same payment grows.
Can I see the last rows too?
Yes. Rows beyond the print limit are folded into a final row that reports the last period's interest and the closing balance.
What if the last payment is smaller?
It is: the final payment is capped at the balance still owed, so the schedule never overpays the loan.
