About Compound Interest Calculator
The classic formula: interest is applied m times a year at rate/m, so the amount after t years is principal x (1 + rate/m)^(m x t). The schedule walks that same formula year by year and prints what each year adds.
Compounding more often at the same annual rate pays a little more, because every application starts on the balance earlier applications built. The effective yearly yield against the nominal rate is the whole difference.
Questions about Compound Interest Calculator
Does compounding daily beat yearly?
Slightly. The same annual rate split into daily applications earns more because each day compounds on what earlier days built; the effective yearly yield card shows the gap.
Is the interest rate annual or per period?
Annual. The frequency field splits that annual rate across the year's applications; it does not repeat the full annual rate each time.
Can I add deposits each year?
No recurring deposits here: the principal is a single investment that sits and grows.
