About Reverse Text
Characters mode splits the text into grapheme clusters before reversing, so an emoji (even one built from several code points, like a family or a flag) moves as a single unit and an accented letter never splits from its accent.
Words mode flips word order while the spacing between words keeps its original widths, so indentation and column layouts stay put.
Lines mode flips whole lines and never touches the text inside them, which turns a pasted list into its reverse order in one step.
Questions about Reverse Text
Do emoji reverse correctly?
Yes. The character mode groups the text into grapheme clusters, so an emoji built from several code points, like a family or a flag, still counts and moves as a single unit.
What counts as a word?
Any run of characters without a space in it. Punctuation stuck to a word travels with that word.
Can I get the original text back?
Yes. Every mode here undoes itself: run the output through the same mode again and you get the input.
Does the character mode move line breaks?
Yes, line breaks reverse along with everything else; use lines mode if you want the line structure preserved.
