About List Alphabetizer
Sorting is done with a collator, so accented letters fall in with their base letter the way a dictionary does it, rather than landing after Z as raw code points would.
Numeric-aware ordering compares digit runs as numbers, so Chapter 2, Chapter 10 then Chapter 100 stay in reading order instead of the 10, 100, 2 order a plain sort gives.
Case-sensitive ordering puts capitals first, which is how code listings and library call numbers behave; everything else sorts as if case did not matter.
Questions about List Alphabetizer
Why does 10 come before 2 in my list?
Plain sorting reads one character at a time, and 1 comes before 2. Switch to numeric-aware ordering and digit runs are compared as numbers.
Are duplicates removed?
No. Repeats are counted in a card and every copy is kept, so a roster keeps its true length.
Do accented names sort correctly?
Yes. The sort uses a dictionary-style collator, so é falls in beside e and not after Z.
Can I sort Z to A?
Yes. Pick Z to A as the direction; the same options apply in reverse.
