About QR Code Generator
The code is drawn on this host by qrencode, the reference QR encoder, so nothing you type leaves the machine and there is no third-party service between you and the image.
qrencode picks the smallest QR version that fits your text at the error-correction level you choose. The summary cards spell out the version, the module count and how much damage the printed code can take and still scan.
Questions about QR Code Generator
Does the error level change the picture?
Yes. Higher levels carry more redundancy, so the code keeps scanning with more of its surface ruined, but the same text fills up sooner.
Why SVG and not PNG?
Vector files stay sharp at any print size and every scanner app accepts them; the page embeds the identical SVG as its preview, so what you see is what you download.
Can I encode any URL?
Yes, up to the QR format's own limit: a version-40 code holds roughly a thousand characters at the lowest level. Longer inputs are refused with that message rather than silently truncated.
Do phone cameras need big QRs?
No. Print at least 25 mm across and keep a quiet margin around it; module count, not ink size, decides how far a camera can read it.
